Digital tools for business development of feedstocks for biobased value chains
11 december @ 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm CET
Shifting from fossil alternatives to biobased alternatives in all industries has become a global priority. Where it concerns upcycling of existing by-products from common food and agro-industries or other biomass, the key to success is having relevant data to perform thorough research for creating qualitative business strategies.
This is often a challenge for companies or investors who want to invest in new markets as they seek answers to questions like:
- – Is there enough feedstock to keep my factory running all year round in the targeted area or country?
- – What are the logistical and technical challenges I am facing?
- – What are the market dynamics with the feedstock I am using?
- – How do I define the best location for my future factory?
BioGrowth Development has expert knowledge about this and developed tools for processing complex environmental and techno-economic data, enabling us to answer fundamental questions of project developers and investors.
By mining geospatial data of land use and supply chain systems from a top-down perspective, it is possible to create accurate market reports that give objective go/no-go decision support. The reports address fundamental points like market sizes (TOM, SOM, and SAM) and identify potential hotspots, both grasping the drivers of the market dynamics.
If the first phase is concluded positively with a funding-proof report, BioGrowth can help stakeholders in the second stage with business development activities by using a bottom-up approach. The report’s outcomes will create a guide for starting business development activities on the selected site. An example case will be shown from a client active in Spain during the webinar.
The combination of insights from data and powerful digital tools, solid due diligence analyses, and on-site business development activities create investor confidence for entering new biobased markets.
